Product Designer & UX Strategist
Powered by coffee. Driven by empathy. Designing for humans.
This is me, Abril. Now let me tell you how I got here…
My journey began with a passion for visual communication, branding, and typography, alongside a deep curiosity about how thoughtful design shapes human interaction. Coming from a background in graphic design and digital marketing, I built a strong foundation in storytelling, visual consistency, and client collaboration.
That foundation is where I found my focus: taking complex workflows, multi-persona user journeys, and data-heavy products, and making them simple enough for the people who actually have to use them. I’ve spent the last six years doing that inside highly technical, regulated environments — biotechnology, SaaS, and pharmaceutical products where the constraints are as much a part of the design problem as the interface itself.
Today, I partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and stakeholders to move products from research through to a working, usable interface. I’ve managed a full design system transition from one system to another, contributed alongside other designers to build a shared system from scratch on LIMS, and helped shape information architecture for platforms serving multiple user roles. My goal stays the same across all of it: making technology feel intuitive, accessible, and human.
I design with empathy, striving to understand the people behind every interaction.
I balance user needs with business goals to create solutions that drive meaningful impact.
Great products are built together. I value cross-functional partnerships and open communication.
I continuously explore, test, and learn to evolve my practice and challenge assumptions.
I leverage AI thoughtfully to streamline processes, enhance ideation, and amplify human creativity without losing sight of the people we design for.
